Caesar: Good evening, Athena! Tell us about what you're wearing tonight.
Athena: Tonight, I am wearing all gold. My stylist felt it was important to make a last good first impression with my outfits and what better way to do that than to practically shine.

What have you thought about the Capitol so far? What's your favorite part?
The Capitol has been amazing so far! The food here is amazing, the people are amazing, and I’m just so excited to just be here in front of everyone for the very last time before entering the arena. My favorite part of the Capitol would just have to be the people, without them, there wouldn’t be a Capitol. A location isn’t what makes it a place, it’s the people who do.

Are you nervous? With this being a Quarter Quell, what are your thoughts on the twist?
I’m not nervous at all! I’m actually really excited! Being in the Hunger Games is one person’s dream and another person’s nightmare. For me, it’s always been my dream. I’m definitely looking forward to the twist! I believe the twist will make this year’s games interesting and different than last year’s games.

What kind of arena are you hoping for this year?
I don’t have a certain type of arena to look forward to because it's the Quarter Quell, anything can happen.
​
Do you feel prepared? What did you think of your training score? (Athena received a score of 9).
I feel very prepared. I come from District 2 so I have been training for this day my whole entire life and I won’t go down easily. As for my training score, I feel very confident about it, I went into the room and I did what I was born to do and it got me a really good score.
​
Do you think you have what it takes to become a victor? Who are you fighting for?
Oh definitely! I have no doubt about me becoming a victor. With my skills and my agility, it would be hard not for me to win this year. Ever since my little brother died from a disease, my older brother and I have worked on supporting my family. Winning this Quarter Quell, will hopefully help my family move on from my brother’s death and let them know that everything will be okay.

Any shoutouts for anyone back home?
Just a shoutout to my older brother. He’s been there for me and my family for years and I just want him to know how much I appreciate him and I hope to make him proud.

Thoughts on the other tributes? Have you made any notable friends or enemies?
All the other tributes are skilled with certain weapons. I wouldn’t try to underestimate anyone in the Quarter Quell. I haven’t made any enemies that I know of as of now. Probably will make a lot in the Arena though. As for notable friends, I have made a few.
​
Any last thoughts before we let you go?
I’m really excited for this year’s games, and I’m looking forward to what the Gamemakers have in store for all of us as well as the arena.
