Flint always dreamed of the day he would volunteer for the games, even though to most of District 1 he didn’t want to volunteer for the right reasons. Flint never wanted to “bring pride to his district” instead he had a “hero complex” as his mother used to call it. Ever since Flint was a child he knew that his last reaping would be on the Second Quarter Quell, meaning that a terrible twist will be put on that years tributes. For these special games they must send only the best, and there wasn’t anyone better than him in District 1, so for Flint the only logical option was for him to volunteer and save someone's life.

Jadette has been at the top of her class at the Training Academy most of her life, and she excels in plant identification. Outside of school, she spends a lot of her time with her friends all around the district while most other people are working. Jade is competitive, determined, and loyal to those she trusts. Out of everyone in her life, Jade is closest with her older sister, Olive. Since Olive moved out after her marriage, Jade’s home consists of her, her mother, and her father.

Born and raised in District 2, Waverly thirsts for glory and fame. She’s been training for the games since the age of five and has a genius level IQ. She’s often able to maneuver out of tough situations with her combination brains and brawn but is sometimes brought down by her own arrogance. She has parents, both who work in the Nut, and a younger sister Arden. Not many people like Waverly so she has few friends.

Athena is the sister of two brothers. (one older, one younger). Her younger brother died from an unknown disease three years ago, which left her family in a depressed state. Athena has been training for the games since she was born. She wasn’t eighteen just yet but she needed to do something to help her family get out of their depressed state so she continued her training until the day of the reaping which she knew what she had to do.

Only 4 days before the reaping, Indiana gave birth to a baby girl named Oceania with her husband, David, who is 19. They have been happily married for a year and both sell and make computer parters for a living. Indiana's father passed away when she was 6, however, her mother is still alive and well. Indiana is also one of the most experienced doctors in the district despite being so young. She's trained to perform surgeries and treat other illnesses. She is a very loving person and is known to look after homeless animals.​

Helia’s only living relative that she is aware of is her 19-year-old brother, Cori. Since she isn’t expected to work at her age, Helia spends her time using scraps of yarn, thread, and fabric to weave intricately patterned pieces of art.

Since he was young, Kai has worked on the boats and waters of District 4, giving him experience with identifying edible fish and with a trident. Even though his family is better off than a large portion of Panem, he still needed some tesserae because of the size of his family. He has 2 sisters and a brother who are all younger than him. Kai and his parents do their best to get enough resources to keep their family afloat. His friends would describe him as selfless and a kind soul who always cares for those in need.

Ocean lives in District 4 with her older sister Mermista, and younger brother Aster. Her dad is one of the leading fishermen of her district allowing her to be part of one of the wealthier families. Her dad taught she and her siblings how to catch fish with spears and how to make fish hooks. Due to her being brought up in a district where they focus on water, she and her sister were taught how to use tridents and spears in case the unthinkable happened. Her mother died in the hunger games just 12 years before so her father feared every year that they would get reaped.

Mason Banner is a daydreamer, he keeps his head in the sky and is the nicest person you'd ever come across in District 5. Despite being raised by his strict and religious parents, Mason never believed in God, since he thought that every human being would end up getting what they truly deserved. Mason had always believed in the good in people, even when nobody else did. therefore, everyone in his district adored him dearly, even the arrogant ones. Mason was the type of boy who'd never get in trouble or do things which were named as illegal, since he was an only child and he clearly did not want to put his name more times into that reaping bowl than it already was. However, he did help people by giving them bread he bought, he even cared for the Peacekeepers from time to time. Mason was a soft boy, but also quite intelligent when it came to chemistry and physics.

Loxan is a 17-year-old boy​ from District 5. He started working at a very young age because his mother died and he has been alone with his sister and father, who in recent years has suffered from health problems. In District 5 he works at the hydroelectric power station and in his free time, he transports heavy materials from one power station to another in order to earn a little more money. When he can, he hangs out with his friends and especially his little sister, Amelia, with whom he has a very close relationship. During the time they spend togheter, they usually practice with their father's crossbow, taking care that no one sees them, and they use it from time to time to hunt. Loxan has a love-hate relationsihp with the mayor's daughter, Violet, but she broke up with him a few months ago for a reason he still doesn't know.

Gabriel, originally a very sweet guy but living in Panem has made him angry. He hates the injustice, he hates the Hunger Games, he hates how he and his family has to suffer and he hates how he can’t live a good life. His brother was reaped when Gabriel was 10, but luckily someone volunteered for him. Ever since then he devoted himself to training for the Hunger Games. He basically acted like a career. Gabriel works in the bakery along with his family. He has a few friends, but he can’t spend a lot of time with them due to always working. When he’s not in the bakery, he has to work with what his district is responsible for. But when he can, he spends every second of his free time in the woods

Amaury's mother fell pregnant with him when she was only 19 and his father was 17, but he was reaped and kill in the Games. His mother moved in with her brother and his wife and they lived together. At the age of 6, the mayor took an interest in his mother which she didn't reciprocate. One night she left and never came back. His uncle went out to find her but also never returned. Amaury was raised by his aunt who was overcome with grief. She planted seeds in his head his whole life about winning the Games. She didn't allow him to mingle with other kids or have his own hobbies, instead he learned the best ways to stab someone between the ribs. Although he was terrified of the Games, his aunt never listened. When Amaury saw Juniper Raine win, his entire outlook changed and he felt hope fill him up. He wants to win the Games to avenge his mother and uncle.

Rose has a lot of friends in school and she is really talkative. She loves to sing and she has an amazing voice. In one of her friends house there is a piano and a guitar and she is playing on them almost every day. Her favourite hobby is reading books. Rose was reaped for the 48th hunger games but her other sister volunteer for her and she died in the arena.

Aster has an 18 year old sister named Astrid Shay. Astrid promised to always protect Aster, but I suppose sometimes, promises will be broken. She has two close friends, Hana, and Juno. Juno is her partner when they sneak out into the woods. Hana was in her class and they always ate lunch together. Their mothers were good friends as well. Both of her parents are alive, but her father isn’t doing well.

Ashlynn has always been seen as somewhat of a leader among kids her age and lots of people look up to her, especially her younger sister, Emery. She won’t take any crap from anyone, and stands up for people who need help. She enjoys athletics and has a very tomboy like character. Her overall demeanor is charismatic, open, and fun. She works making peacekeeper uniforms at the factories in her district. Ashlynn, Emery, and their older sister Jenessa also enjoy making jewelry that they give to people in district 8. Ashlynn’s favorite piece is a heart necklace that her sisters made for her. This is her token in the games. She is very close to both her sisters and her best friend, Lucas.

Leo Silver has a decent life in District 8. He has 3 younger sisters and loves to go on adventures with them. He loves making dresses and selling them at his family's store. Leo loves meeting new people and loves to learn about different places. He loves reading and wishes that one day he could write books and make people happy like books make him happy.

Meena grew up in the merchant part of District 9. This means she is better built form years of being fed properly. Her father works in harvesting grain, so from an early age Meena could identify plants and harvest them with a knife, so she knows how to handle small weapons. Her mother is a healer, so she can also use plants for medicinal purposes. She has 2 younger siblings, male and female twins, who grew up admiring her. She is quite popular in school, with a big group of friends, but she knows that it's quality over quantity, and she has one best friend - Ava. She tells Ava everything, and they have been friends pretty much since birth.

Amara was always the “it” girl. Everyone always liked her in school, and everywhere else. But nobody knew that she was very poor. Her mom and dad both died when she was little, and so she has to take care of herself, which isn’t very easy. She’s very skinny, never getting to eat much. She has a boyfriend, who’s name is Coen. She loves him very much and would do anything for him. Amara liked to paint and draw in the free time she rarely had.

Finn is well-known around District 10 because she is the mayor’s daughter. Throughout her life, she has always been a loner and never had any interest to make friends, despite the abundance of people trying to make her an acquaintance. Her mother died when Finn was 8 years old. Finn is the oldest of 4 siblings; Finn, being very shy and timid, can be found wandering through the district when she is not taking care of her younger siblings. Her father expects Finn to take care of her brothers and sisters, while he attends to his mayoral duties. Her father rarely takes interest in his family, leaving Finn alone, fending for herself and her four younger siblings. Her hobbies include going to the livestock pens and helping tend to them, although it is not required of her. She enjoys the time spent with the animals because they seem to get her more than people. ‬

Tye's family was quite rich for district 10: they had a farm, a nice home, even a car! His parent were both brilliant doctors, thats why they got patients from all over the country, even from the capitol! Tye never really cared about healing and stuff, but if his parents had time, they often teached him about it, even the hardest ones. He was a sheperd, because his grandfather always told him, the capitol likes meat, and he liked the capitol. They left the most money. He had some friends at school, but he needed to realise, they only love him because he was richer than them and he gave everything they needed.

Living in District 11 her whole life, Auria has always been use to being in the trees. But her passion wasn’t working in the orchards harvesting fruit, but the plants and herbs surrounding them. Her best friend Maia, whose parents are much wealthier than her, often helps with discovering new plants and their purpose. Hunger is now no longer a threat to the Grey family because of Auria’s new talent, she’s become a master in plants and can make the best concoctions in the district. She sells mostly in District 11's black market where people pay a hefty price for her medicine—and poisons.

Eliana’s passion was ballet, she loved to dance in her room at night, and in her orchards, though this was not common knowledge to her family. Eliana grew up being an only child, she still had both of her parents, which was rare nowadays. She was lucky in her upbringing, never going hungry, doing well in school, not having to work until she was eighteen, yet she insisted on being trained anyway, this was due to the fact her father owned a large portion of the land in the district, it was for these reasons she always found friendship in those less fortunate. It was almost a way if lessening her guilt of what she had, if she could help others who were less fortunate.

Lina has always been very protective of her younger brother, for whom she volunteered. She would protect him from bullies at school. She was Class Representative for her year and always stands up for what she believes in. Her parents both work a 24-hour job so she rarely gets to see them. Line loves art and can easily set traps and climb.

Willow lives in the nicer part of District 12 and her family owns the apothecary shop. She has two older brothers, Ben (19) and Tom (18). She usually ​spends her days helping her mom or hanging out with her best friend, Peter. She would go into the woods to get plants for the shop sometimes.
